Math is a fascinating discipline fundamental for any Science or Engineering student. However, it can seem complicated sometimes, can't it? Well, not if you grasp the concepts and learn to apply them in practical scenarios. Then it actually becomes fun!!!!
I can help you overcome your fear of Math and start enjoying it, instead. Math was always my favorite subject leading me to complete Graduate Research in Applied Math at University of Maryland, College Park. At Graduate School, I started tutoring Elementary, Middle and High School students because I loved to see them smile and not scared when they had to work on their Math assignments. Since then, I have been passionately tutoring for the last 8+ years. Contemplating a career in teaching, I also completed the Praxis and CBEST exams.
I love to teach one-on-one or in small groups so that I can attend to each student’s individual needs. I typically walk each student through his/her difficult spots until he/she feels confident in handling that specific area and expand beyond it. Just as much I love Math, I love many small things in life, too. I truly believe in balanced professional and personal growth. This is a belief I try to teach my students, too. I so enjoy the fact that my students greet me after years with fond remembrance and a big smile !!!! Hurray! That is why I love to teach kids so much!
