I have been learning English language for many years. I was taught by many teachers and I am able to distinguish a good one from an average. I took more than a dozen lessons with Emily and I’m going to tell you people – Emily is an outstanding teacher! She is very honest, intelligent and well-read person. She can explain complex things, like some parts of English grammar, in a very simple way. I like the way she gives lessons to me. I read articles about different kinds of topics, a new article for every lesson. And on the lesson we discuss it as I would do it with my English speaking friends or colleagues. Emily corrects my mistakes and explains to me some grammar’s pitfalls. And that’s the way to increase my vocabulary also. This approach works very well for me but may be it won’t work for you. That’s exactly the point where we need a talented teacher who is proficient enough to determine what is the best approach for you.
And remember the tutor only shows you the way. If you don’t work hard there would be no results.
I am absolutely sure that Emily is the best tutor for me!
P.S. I hope, Emily, you will forgive me for all that mistakes I made in this very review. :)

I always knew that I had problems in grammar, but I was unable to make any progress. Emily quickly identified areas where I needed improvement. We chose Emily to help our son learn to write papers at a college freshman level largely because of her experience teaching at community college. She has helped develop an action plan, define a set of objectives, and steer my son in that direction. I sat in on the original planning session, but since then she and he have developed a mutually respectful working relationship and they do what they do without needing my interference.
She has a wonderful sense of humor and is very patient, but she takes the process very seriously and wants to see progress (and is quick to praise when she sees it). I think my son enjoys her candor and enthusiasm, and likes to discuss different ideas with her. She is also trying to help him develop better organizational skills, both in his writing and in his workspace and personal habits.
Emily always gives detailed feedback after every session that gives me a good sense of where the progress is happening and what the sticking points are. She is very prompt and reliable. If she does not feel anything is within her skill set, she is honest about it and does not try to oversell what she feels she can do.
