I am an enthusiastic, committed educator with innate ability to understand and motivate both children and adults. I work to create a cooperative community in the classroom as well as on a one-on-one basis with a student. I am very skilled in adapting to students' diverse learning styles.
I embrace teaching as an opportunity to inspire and empower the students who enter into my classroom. The ultimate goal of my teaching philosophy
is to enhance student learning as a transformative experience. I try to find ways for my students to become more personally engaged with the all the learning materials and to understand how the specific subject matter is directly relevant to their own lives. Constantly gaining greater understanding of the wide diversity of learning styles and personal experiences is the key to enhancing this relationship of learning and the individual student’s life journey.
Over the years I have discovered that the process of learning is a complex process, which is individual, content and context specific. As a teacher, I pay attention to all these factors and work hard to be flexible in each new teaching/learning environment, striving to adapt my approach to teaching according to the needs of the current group of learners, the specific subject matter, and the environmental setting. I believe that it is crucial for teachers to cultivate learning partnerships with students. This learning partnership is a two-way proposition. The student’s part of the proposition is to come prepared to learn, and my part is to create an interactive environment that engages the student in the learning process.
