I have over 11 years of experience tutoring middle school and high school mathematics, as well as SAT, PSAT and ACT math prep!

Before moving to Southern CA due to my husband's military assignment, I lived and worked in Tampa, FL., where I owned a test prep and math tutoring company. There I worked with over 300 students and had amazing success helping my students improve their math grades and test scores.

I know how to explain mathematics to my students in a very clear way, and I always help my students make study guides or concept flash cards for their tests to help them memorize formulas and concepts better. I am an expert tutor in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry and Trigonometry. As well, I have thorough understanding of how to approach the math sections of the SAT and ACT, and I have taught students how to take these tests for over 10 years! My students often see their scores increase dramatically on their college entrance exams. My students tell me that their confidence and general attitude about math improves after working with me. Algebra 1

I absolutely love teaching Algebra I and Algebra II! Geometry can be a tricky class for many people because of all of the formulas, definitions, rules and postulates that must be learned. In this class, I help my students keep all of these rules straight by making flash cards and building a study guide out of the definitions as we move through the class. Precalculus

I have tutored pre-calculus courses for the past 11 years and consider myself very proficient on this subject. Pre-calculus can be a very hard class for students to learn as there are SO many topics involved. I enjoy showing students how the topics on this course build on each other. I am great at explaining function graphing techniques, LOGS, trigonometry functions, systems of equations, conics (circles, ellipses, parabolas, hyperbolas), and sequences/series problems. Trigonometry

I have tutored trigonometry courses for the past 11 years and consider myself very proficient on this subject. Trig can be a very hard class for students to learn as there are SO many topics involved. I am great at explaining trig function graphing techniques, the Unit Circle, trig identities and trig function rules, translations of graphs, vectors, polar functions, and conics (circles, ellipses, parabolas, hyperbolas). SAT Math

I have over 11 years experience tutoring SAT and PSAT math. I am very knowledgeable regarding the math content on this test, as well as strategies on how to best improve your SAT score. I can explain the test rules and grading procedures. Many of my students have improved their SAT (math scores) over 60-120 points!!

PSAT

I have over 11 years experience tutoring PSAT MATH. I am very knowledgeable regarding the math content on this test, as well as strategies on how to best improve your PSAT score. I can explain the test rules and grading procedures. Many of my students have improved their PSAT (math scores) significantly!! This test is also a great way to prepare yourself for the SAT, taken during Junior or Senior year of high school.

ACT Math

I have over 11 years experience tutoring ACT math. I am very knowledgeable regarding the math content on this test, as well as strategies on how to best improve your ACT score. I can explain the test rules and grading procedures. Many of my students come to me with a specific ACT score in mind (for a college application) and I am able to help them achieve this goal!

Elementary Math

I love working with younger children and inspiring them to enjoy mathematics! I have over 11 years tutoring experience with Elementary math. I am a warm and friendly person, and children are comfortable working with me. I can explain things to them in a clear way and can teach to a wide range of learning abilities.
