The reason I became a tutor is because my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia 9 years ago. At the time there was not a tutor that was affordable in our area. I took it upon myself to go and get the necessary training. After completing the course, I became a certified tutor for students with dyslexia.
Now, I've been teaching/tutoring for last 12 years. My passion is in helping a student gain confidence and obtaining his/her educational goals. I have worked with many students of all special needs and learning disabilities over the years. Although I have tutored in all areas, my specialty is with reading, phonics, and reading comprehension of grade school aged children. I feel confidence building and a patient additude will do wonders for a child's academic success.
