About Me: I'm a graduate of Cal Poly State University, where I acquired my Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering while concentrating in Computers. In addition to my curriculum in Electronics, my coursework included Chemistry, General to Advanced Physics, and Mathematics from Algebra to Calculus to Fourier Analysis.
My tutoring techniques would vary as every student is different. I'm a firm believer that the concepts and principles in Mathematics and Science can be explained, but tutoring methods and studying materials can only be determined once I understand what is most effective and beneficial for you and/or your student.
My tutoring experience also includes part-time work while in college. This included private instruction in Mathematics to High School students, and assisting college students in a Computer Laboratory.
It was my experience as a guest speaker while interning with IBM in Manassas, VA, talking to 5th graders about the importance of Math and English in their future, where I realized that elementary students are capable of abstract thinking and working through solutions to complex problems. It was fun to see the students participate, contributing answers, to one of the most fundamental problem in Physics - the Block on an Incline.
Physics has always been my favorite subject. Probably because the experience with my Physics Instructors in college were some of the best! Because of that I know how important it is to have a good student-instructor relationship.
Mathematics go hand-in-hand with Physics. One cannot exist without the other. It is again my experience with some of the best Math instructors that led to my success through three terms of Calculus and Differential Equations.
More recently, I've acquired up-to-date training and education in Biotechnology which included Genetics, and was a refresher of my general knowledge in Chemistry and Biology.
If you need help with Computers or with Networking or with Microsoft Applications, I'm a valuable resource!
