I hold a B.A. in Philosophy and a M.A. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the History Department at UCLA. My writing, both creative and academic, has been published professionally. I also received a perfect score on the verbal section of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the standardized qualifying exam for graduate school. I am therefore in a good position to help students college-aged and younger to improve their writing and to better perform on homework and tests in subjects such as history, political science and literature. I am also comfortable working with students in mathematics at the level of algebra and below. I have good communication skills and enjoy working with young people. As a teaching assistant at UCLA, I have taught students at the classroom and individual levels and have received excellent student reviews. I also have ample tutoring experience, having worked with students ranging from the son of a high-level diplomat to the United States to troubled inner-city youth through the Los Angeles Unified School District's Program for Youth who are Neglected, Delinquent, or at Risk of Dropping Out.
