Hi,

I recently returned to California after staying in Osaka since October 2009. I went to Japan to learn the language, the culture, and to learn and grow as a teacher. I attended a language school until 2011, working part-time at an English cafe and a conversation school, as well as private tutoring to individuals and small groups. After graduating in 2011, not wanting to return to the US quite yet, I found a job at a bigger conversation school and began to work full time. I met a lot of great students and really enjoyed my time there. This June my visa expired, and rather than renew it, I decided to return to California and get my teaching credential to become a high school Japanese teacher.

I've taught English to children, adults of all ages, in both private and group lessons, with lesson plans tailored to each student's level. I've taught with both free conversation and from a textbook, so if there's a test you need to study for, I can help. If you need to practice for a speech contest, I can help with both editing and pronunciation. Or if you just want to learn how to talk about movies, books, etc. with your friends, I can help.
