I will be beginning the MSN Nurse Practitioner Program in Spring 2013. I hold an A.S. in Interdiscplinary Studies, Math and Science from San Joaquin Delta College and a B.S. in Physiological Psychology from UC San Diego. I have also completed the coursework and licensing pre-requisites for the Pharmacy Technician Program. I have many years of experience working with all ages of students. The majority of my professional career has been with high school and community college students. I can tutor all levels of math below Calculus. I have tutored Calculus, but do not prefer it. I have taught high school preparatory Biology and Chemistry courses for summer programs at UCSD. I am extremely comfortable with pre-nursing prerequisites, as that has been my most recent position at San Joaquin Delta College for the past 5 years. I use a lot of visual techniques; I can alter a problem on the spot to create new ones. I often demonstrate first, then guide to ensure that the student understands when leaving the session. I have enjoyed working in education for the past two decades.
