I have spent over ten years working with students as they enter all stages of the college admissions process. From building a college list to submitting applications, I approach each student with the care and effort they deserve. After years of college campus visits, meetings with admissions advisors and witnessing first-hand what does and does not work in college admissions, I can work with students to identify the schools that will be a good fit for their individual personalities, goals and choice of major. Whether in the 9th or 12th grade, programs can be tailored to meet the specific student.

I currently possess a MA, Ed., with a BA in History and earned my teaching credential in secondary social sciences and a preliminary administrative services credential. I regularly attend conferences to learn the newest information about college admissions and testing. As a member of the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors, I am involved in networking with local admissions officers, gaining insight as to how individual schools will review applicants. I am not a general tutor, this is my area of focus and clients will receive support from someone who has a solid working knowledge of how to prepare for and eventually apply for college.

Students can start as early as ninth grade, receiving support in course selection, how to set themselves apart from other applicants, and in planning meaningful and interesting activities that will prepare them for the next level. Furthermore, my work involves the financial side of the admissions process making sure parents are aware of specific deadlines, forms to file and how to look for additional aid.
