Greetings! I am new to WyzAnt Tutoring but I bring a very unique approach to helping those wanting to improve their English skills. I have a Master's degree from San Francisco State University, and am TESOL certified. I am truly a "jack of all trades" with diverse skills and experience from business to fitness training to education.
I recently returned to the USA after teaching for 2 years in China at a private college. I taught Oral English, Learning English Through Films and English Free Writing. The most inspiring outcome for me teaching ESL were students who adapted to new situations and challenging themselves into breaking traditional "Chinese" ways of thinking. I incorporated my style of ESL called "action learning", which involves philosophy and movement for language learning.
My goal is for students to not only improve their conversational skills, but more importantly improve their self-confidence in life both mentally and physically.
If you are motivated to improving your English abilities and want to talk with someone in a non-traditional learning sense, then I am the tutor for you.
