Hello! My name is Bryan. I work in the game industry as a concept artist; most recently, I was the whole art department, in a startup where we made a Facebook game called Cloudstone! Phew~ Don't try that if you value sleep! Prior to that, I've been lead and senior artists in teams that put out a variety of games for the web. I have actually taught art before, for a company called KidsArt, where I assisted a teacher as we taught kids, aged 4 to adults, the basics of art. Soon after, I was teaching after-school programs for select schools.
I've always drawn since I was little, but getting in the industry has made me all the more knowledgeable and passionate about what I do, and more so, the things I have yet to do. Sharing what I've learned is one of those passions.
It's my opinion, and goal for that matter, to see that basic concepts, or even the drive and the inspiration for the arts, be readily and easily accessible to anyone who really wants to learn. I find it very irresponsibly silly when I see schools put kids $60,000 in debt without guaranteeing their future when they get that diploma. If there's something that shouldn't be overpriced or out of reach, it's education.
So there you go. I never shy away from anyone who really wants to learn. I may not know everything, but I sure will do my best, give my best, and if that isn't enough, we can figure it out together if need be.
My background, as I mentioned briefly before, is mostly traditional art, and that is what I would stress to anyone. There's a drawing behind every painting, and it helps immensely to start there, even if you want to enter digital domain.
I hope I can be of service to you, and if you wish to ask me more, feel free.
[ ^_^]/
Bryan
