I am a young and energetic professional who has extensive tutoring experience. As a graduate student, I used to teach undergraduates and MBAs at Pepperdine University. It was a great experience, and I am still in close contact with many of them. Overall, I have 2 years experience tutoring all type of students from children to MBA students.
A little bit about my background, I graduated MBA majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine University year 2010. My overall GPA was 3.78. During my study, I enjoyed helping my classmates figuring out homework/ projects that involve strong Excel skills and accounting/finance calculations. Somehow someway I always found ways to simplify the intricate process.
For my undergraduate study, I went to California State University Los Angeles to obtain my bachelor of science in Finance with a minor in English. Graduated in year 2006 and my overall GPA was 3.5.
During my last year, I had the chance to be a teacher assistant for 2 finance classes: International Finance, Intermediate Business Finance.
Overall, I consider myself to be a patient and proficient tutor. I always try to explain the subject matter in a "very easy-to-understand" manner.I apply simple real world examples to illustrate some of the most intricate subjects. Additionally, I consider myself to be a good listener, I listen to students' concerns and help assess their needs. I want to help students realize their full potential in a subject where many think they'll never understand.
Finally, I currently work full time as a financial analyst for Guitar Center Corporate. On top of that, I also run my own pet food business. My prior work experience includes working finance for a commercial bank, logistic industry and retailers.
