I hold a B.S. in Psychology, a M.S.Ed., Educational Psychology, and a Doctorate of Education. Additionally, my experience includes an extensive background in working with children with diverse needs. This includes the founding of a small school, which included students of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds with learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges. The inclusive program I developed took on a pro-social approach and focused on research based practices in promoting the learning process. A critical component to the program was the provision of opportunities toward the development of responsibility, communication, and literacy skills, which were embedded into all activities. I teach at the university level in the Master of Arts in Teaching program.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology and a Doctorate of Education. I recently completed serving as Acting Director of a local Early Childhood Education Program in South Pasadena, California. This program is an educationally structured, inclusive program with a capacity of 96 children. Families served include those with typically developing children and others referred by the Regional Centers who require early intervention services for their children. Many of the children were identified as on the Spectrum. In my working capacity I supervised 17 teachers.
I hold a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California, with a specialization in Literacy. Coursework included Curriculum for Elementary School Education and Recognizing Reading Disabilities (K-6).
I hold a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California, with a specialization in Language and Literacy. Coursework included Language and Cultural Diversity in Learning. I also studied Spanish in college and can read, speak conversationally, and write in Spanish.
As an Educational Consultant for the past twelve years I have developed literacy programs for children and adolescents, which are based in strong foundational knowledge in phonemic awareness and other reading readiness skills.

I hold a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California. I have had extensive experience in public speaking through my work as a University Professor (5 years), Educational Consultant (12 years), and President/Founder of an Educational Non-Profit Organization (12 years). My college/university teaching experience is in the area of Teacher Education as well as Education and Organizational Management.
I hold a doctor of education degree from the University of Southern California, a master of educational psychology, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. An area of specialization of mine is working with families and their children with special needs.
I have extensive hands-on experience as a mentor teacher and founder of a small school. I have worked with toddlers, preschool, and elementary school aged children with special needs for over 20 years.
As an educational consultant for the past twelve years, I have developed learning programs for children, which are based in strong learning and development skills in all learning domains. Special needs I have addressed include: learning and behavioral challenges, autism spectrum disorders, emotional challenges.
I love working with all children and believe that learning is incremental! When children and parents are provided the tools to support their learning, the sky is the limit to what they can accomplish! I work with the parents as well.
I also teach at the university level in the master's of teaching (MAT@USC) program at the University of Southern California. Preparing teachers to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population, including children with special needs, is a passion of mine! The course I specialize in is entitled Human Differences and Teaching Special Populations.
I hold certification of my CBEST as well as an Emergency 30-day Substitute Teaching Permit with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I also hold a Child Development Program Director Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
I hold a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California, with a specialization in Self-Regulation. Application of my research addresses learning and development, specifically as it addresses self-management and study skills.
I have extensive hands on experience as a Mentor Teacher, working with elementary school and high school aged children. I have been successful in facilitating learning through goal setting, planning, regulating emotions, and successful task completion.
