Hello,

My name is Sagar D. I am currently tutoring mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology in California State University at Los Angeles.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in biology and minor in mathematics. I have worked as a tutor in my college for one year. I have been a tutor for Pre-Algebra, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus I , Calculus II, Physics I, Physics II, Biology I, Microbiology, Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, and Biostatistics. I have taken some relevant courses too, like Anatomy and Human Physiology I and II, Biochemistry, Calculus III, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, Genetics, Immunobiology, and Toxicology. Besides, I have been a Teaching Assistant in a Microbiology lab, and that experience helps me understand different ways to interpret the concepts so that the student can understand well. I was promoted from basic to Level I and then to Level II tutor.

Currently, I am doing my master's in Applied Biotechnology in California State University. Besides my master's, I am interested in studying scientific readings and the biography of the great scientists and mathematician. I like to teach, and it has always been my passion. The interest might have to do something with my family background as my parents are also teachers in primary school. I thoroughly enjoy helping the students and getting them to understand the concepts well. My final goal in life is to get my doctorate and be a professor in the University, where I teach the classes and also I will have my own lab to do Research.

Algebra 1

I have been tutoring Algebra in my University. Math requires lot of practice but understanding the problems make is lot easier. There are various techniques to look to the problem.

Algebra 2

I have tutored Algebra 2 for more than 2 years. It is one of the fun subjects, takes thinking and then forming the equations to solve the problems. There are several rules for determining the unknown variable equations. Overall, algebra 2 is a very easy and fun subject too.

Biology

I have my Bachelor degree in Biology. So, I am expert in my field and has adequate information to give to my student, so they can understand well.

Chemistry

Of all the subjects Chemistry is a very interesting one. To do better in chemistry the foundation should be strong. Most of the time, I have noticed students have problems in understanding mole, molar concentration, atomic mass, balancing reactions, etc. These are the basic but very powerful concepts. Besides, there is the periodic table, which has so many ideas that need to be understood well. So, Chemistry is very easy but needs clear understanding too.

Geometry

It deals with the different shapes and the way to calculate their perimeters, areas and volumes.

Prealgebra

I used to Tutor up to Cal II in my University. So, prealgebra is not at all difficult for me to tutor. It builds on ideas like, the coorrdinate information, interpretation of the graph, solving for X in an equations. It is an interesting subject and with myself having experience and a strong background in mathematics, tutoring algebra is not a problem to me.

Precalculus

It is the foundation for the Calculus class. It deals with the materials that needed to be understand before understanding the differentiation and integrations.

Trigonometry

It deals with the trigonometric components like Sine, Cosine, Tangent and such. There are many trigonometric formulas for these trigonometric functions. It also deals with the graphical representation of these functions.

Microbiology

It is subject mainly focusing on Bacteria. Microbiology talks about the pros and cons of bacteria. It also encompass the structure and physiology of pathogen causing bacteria.
