My name is Sagar D. I am a tutor for Trigonometry, College Algebra, Pre-calculus, Geometry, General Physics, General Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology. I am also a tutor at California State University at Los Angeles since September, 2012.
In May 2011, I graduated from University of Texas at Arlington (UT Arlington) with my Baccalaureate degree in Biology with minor in Mathematics. At UT Arlington, I worked as a tutor for 14 months. I used to tutor for following subjects: PRE-ALGEBRA, COLLEGE ALGEBRA, TRIGONOMETRY, STATISTICS, CALCULUS I, CALCULUS II, PHYSICS I, PHYSICS II, GENERAL BIOLOGY, MICROBIOLOGY, GENERAL CHEMISTRY, and ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. I have taken some high level courses that help me to be better tutor. Some of the relevant courses are: Anatomy and Human Physiology I and II, Biochemistry, Calculus III, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra, Genetics, Immuno-biology, and Toxicology. While I was in my undergraduate level, I was also a undergraduate Teaching/Research Assistant for Microbiology lab. My work experience required me to deal with various students that essentially enhance my skill to interpret and explain concepts to the students in various ways so that the student can understand well. My dedication and honesty at my work ethics gave me promotion from basic to Level I and then to Level II tutor.
Currently, I am doing my master's in Applied Biotechnology from California State University. Along with my studies, I am also tutoring at CSU Los Angeles from September 2012. So, I already have more than 3 years of tutoring experiences in above mentioned subjects. Apart from my studies. I enjoy reading scientific journals and books. I also read biographies of scientists. I have started home tutoring and actively tutoring after I was done with my first year of Masters. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, and it has always been my passion. The interest might have to do something with my family background as my parents are also teachers in primary school. I like helping students to understand difficult concepts and develop problem solving skills. The aim in my life is to get my doctorate degree in Genetic/Molecular Biology field and work as a professor in the University. I would like to have my own research lab too.
