My name is Sarah and I am a Loyola Marymount University graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature. Upon graduating, I landed a position as the Assistant Director of YMCA Brentwood. I moved on as an AmeriCorps volunteer where I taught toddlers and school aged children at a transitional home in Crenshaw, CA. I did that for a number of years where I soon moved on to an Instructional Aid for preschool children with special needs. During that time, I decided to continue my education and gain my Master's Degree in Journalism to pursue both journalism and teaching.
I absolutely love working with children, specifically in the areas of reading, journalism, writing, grammar and English related subjects. I currently write for a number of print and online publications, where I assumed an Editor and contributor position. I also, continue to tutor in English.
I live in the San Gabriel Valley, but find myself in the Los Angeles area most of the time – so traveling is not a problem.
I am a kind-hearted individual who values helping others and known for being patient, creative, and diligent with work. I believe everyone is special and has a gift to share – it is just about tapping into oneself and allowing time to nurture one’s attributes.
