I am a retired Intervention Specialist with a degree in Special Education K-8. I worked as a teacher/intervention specialist for 22 years. I have a degree in Special Education K-12 and have worked with children with Learning Disabilities, Cognitive Delay, Autism and Emotional Disturbance. As an Intervention Coordinator I was responsible for running the Intervention Assistance Team, finding and help implementing interventions for students struggling in all or any area. I tutored students K-8 who did not qualify for services in special education or ELL. Another responsibility was that of Testing Coordinator for the building. In that role, I made sure testing security was observed and all students with IEP/ELL accommodations were in place.
I hope to continue working with children to ensure that they reach their capabilities and find a way to use their strengths in order to succeed academically and emotionally.
