I have been teaching both adults and kids since I was only a kid myself, showing my teachers how to use their own computers. I am highly skilled in music, photography, and media arts, and I find it easy to break down even the most complex concepts into bites that anyone can understand.
Music: I have instructed piano for 10 years to children and adults. Younger students will get an introduction to the piano and learn not only how to play various songs with increasing skill, but will also learn skills such as basic music theory and song construction. Older students will appreciate the focus on musicianship, alternate voicing, improvisation, and performance. Recording techniques will be taught to anyone who requests it, and I am proficient at setting up custom, cost-effective music recording solutions for each student.
Photography: I have been an avid photographer as long as I can remember. With an incredible grasp of photographic technique, I will teach the fundamentals of the DSLR camera, as well as composition and exposure concepts. The student will also learn to proficiently use software such as Lightroom and Photoshop
to post-process their photos. Advanced photoshop training is also available.
In addition to music and photography, I am highly trained, skilled, and experienced in the world of modern media production. I have two hollywood feature films to my name as cinematographer, as well as countless shorts, commercials, and music videos. I can teach the student to make the most out of a DSLR or ENG video camera. Whether the student is a beginner in production, or simply needs pointers in order to increase production quality, I will be able to improve proficiency in production audio, video, and post-production-editing. I teach Final Cut, FCX, and Premiere for video, and Adobe Audition for audio post-production.
