Hello, with all those distractions out there today it's easy for your son or daughter to slip behind or lose interest in a subject or school in general. History is boring, math's too hard, science isn't any fun, I don't like writing or spelling. Sound familiar? Any subject can be fun; its about finding that balance between learning and having fun that makes a successful student today. I have worked with many students that have said those comments and I was able to help them and I know I can help your son or daughter as well. I have a BA in history, a minor in physical science, and an AA in liberal studies. In addition, I teach Physical Education.
I have a passion for teaching and helping students realize their potential. I am energetic and enthusiastic. I read students well and adjust to meet individual education needs, as everyone learns a little different. My students receive much by way of affirmation for a job done right. That being said, I am persistent with students who have difficulties, and have had much success encouraging them to keep trying until they see positive results.
