Hi,

My name is Dean. I have been tutoring for the past eleven years in Physics, Math, and Chemistry. I started tutoring when I was an undergrad in Electrical Engineering at UC Berkeley. At first, I started helping my friends with their classes in math, physics, and chemistry. As I continued working with them, they kept telling me things such as "You should really consider being a teacher," "You are really good at explaining things," "Your explanation is so clear," or "I would have aced my calculus and physics classes in high school if my teachers had taught the way you do." Some of them offered to pay me if I would tutor them on a regular basis, which I did. I continued to tutor throughout my undergrad years as well as my graduate years at Santa Clara University. In fact, I enjoyed teaching so much that I kept on doing it to this day. Through the years, I have worked mostly with junior high and high schoolers, but I have also worked with kids as young as 4th graders and adults at university or community colleges. My number one goal is the academic success of my students. Thank you for your consideration.
