I began tutoring calculus while in high school. I have more than two additional years experience tutoring, including one year at the Learning Assistance Center at SSU. My primary field of endeavor is computer programming.
I have a bachelor's in Mathematics. Algebra is reused over and over throughout Calculus and analytic geometry. It is a collection of methods for discovering the value of an unknown. Frequently, word problems are translated into algebraic equations before a solution is found.

I was an excellent student in high school, finishing 4 years in three, the entire Algebra curriculum. Since tutoring, I continue refreshing my skill by working problems from textbooks. Algebra II includes, conic sections, exponential and logarithmic functions, systems of equations and series.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I took one year of Calculus and one year of Advanced Calculus. The main concepts are: limit, derivative and integral. They are fundamental concepts and interrelated.

Geometry requires the ability to prove or disprove propositions. There are axioms, statements that are basic and assumed true. From these axioms are deduced lemmas, theorems, and corollaries. I first studied geometry in high school. In addition, in college, I studied analytic geometry, as well as proof in advanced calculus and senior level logic.
I volunteered for a year at a fifth grade math class which was introducing methods of solving equations to find the value(s) of a variable unknown. In addition, I helped students translate word and picture problems into solvable equations. We also worked with methods for simplifying equations.
I did well in my high high school precalculus class. Systems of equations, exponential and logarithmic functions, conic sections, trigonometry and polar coordinates are met again in calculus. In order to obtain my bachelor's in Math, I had to demonstrate competence in using everything on the list. In my years of tutoring, these topics have repeatedly been of interest.
