Elementary (K-6th)

I am a substitute teacher for all three elementary school districts in the Santa Clarita area. Those districts are:

Saugus Union School District
Newhall School District
Sulphur Springs School District

I teach every elementary school subject, including Math, Science, Social Studies, Grammar, Language Arts, Reading to all grades from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Additionally, I will supervise Physical Education and Music classes. I have also taught RSP classes as well as Special Education classes.

I have my CTC public school teaching certificate which is renewed annually. Moreover, I passed my CBEST Test, which is needed to become a substitute teacher. Furthermore, I have a bachelors degree from Brooklyn College which is a part of the City University of NY. I received my BA in English.

Other extensive childhood experience includes working with young actors and working for the YMCA as a Unit Leader and Youth Director.

Public Speaking

My college minor was Speech and Theatre. Additionally, I have appeared in several television shows, worked in the Entertainment Industry, and performed on stage in various community theater productions in my area. Moreover, I have performed stand-up comedy at such places as the Ice House, the Comedy Store and the Improv, to name a few.

Finally, while working at IBM several years ago, I was responsible for not only writing but performing at their sales meetings and awards ceremonies.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
