Ali's Answer:

two points on the line could be (2,-1) and (3,-2). to find the slope you can use the equation

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)= (-2-(-1))/(3-2)=(-2+1)/(3-2)= -1/1= -1. to find the x-intercept we let y=0 in

the equation and get x=1. if you want to find the y-intercept you can let x=0 in the equation and

get y=1 as your y-intercept.

Ali's Answer:

by looking at the periodic table for carbon and oxygen

One finds that oxyen is 16 g/mole and carbon is

12.01 g/mole. Since one mole of co is made of 1 mole of

Carbon and 1 mole oxygen we simply add the two atomic weights to find co is

28.01 g/ mole.

Ali's Answer:

we first solve the differential equation

dV/ dt = -3.   V(0) = 12000

V (t) = -3t + 12000 now let V= 6000

substitution yields 6000 = -3t + 12000

                               So -3t = -6000 so t= 2000 min = 33.33 hr

Ali's Answer:

Let x= age of sue then

x+6=age of Leah

And 5+(x+6) =x+11= age of John so the total age is x+(x+6)+(x+11)=41

So 3x+17=41so 3x=24 so x=age of sue= 8
