Hey Everyone!

This is Erick and I'm here to be your music tutor!

I graduated from Rhodes College in 2010 with a degree in piano performance as well as concentrations in composition, conducting and music theory. I was a graduate TA my last two semesters of college in theory as well as piano and voice.

I moved out to Santa Monica to work with Hans Zimmer at his studio studying film music. I was an intern for about five months and then got selected to be Steve Jablonsky's assistant full time! I've since helped with the logistical operations and helped write the music behind film scores such as Transformers: Dark of the Moon, ABC's Desperate Housewives, Battleship, the Gears of War franchise, and most recently, Gangster Squad.

I would love to tutor anyone who is interested in pursuing music. My motto is, "A Drive to Learn." I was able to succeed in my goal to become a film composer by having the passion to learn the necessary technology and then apply the music theory and piano performance skills I learned in college. I strongly feel that the student is the boss in our sessions and I am here to answer their questions!
