I am a certified Math teacher for grades 6-12. I hold a Preliminary CA Teaching Certificate for Mathematics and an Initial IL Type 09 Secondary Certification with endorsements in Mathematics, Computer Applications, and Computer Science. I have been teaching for over 3 years from 6th-12th grade math. I have taught special education through gifted students. I have taught middle school math, Algebra 1 and 2, and Geometry.

I have a degree in Computer Graphics and Animation from DePaul. I have experience with programming. I am working on my Masters of Arts in Teaching at National-Louis University.

I have a varied background. I was a server and bartender for over 10 years and have developed the skill to develop relationships with a variety of different people. I use this skill in my classroom to build connections with my students, even though they all have their own personalities. I am sure we can get along well. Algebra 2

I have taught Algebra 2 to juniors and seniors for the past 2 school years (not including this year.) I have taught using a McDougal Littell textbook as a resource but mainly created all notes, activities, and homework sheets on my own to best help my students.

Geometry

I have taught hands-on Geometry 2009-2012. I have implemented activities for students to learn through doing, in addition to creating practice worksheets and activities to further their skills.

Study Skills

I have taught students for the past 3 years how to organize and study for tests. I have taught preparation throughout units versus only right before a test.

Softball

I played softball for 11 years. I played all positions but mainly pitcher and infield. I also coached a junior varsity high school team.
