As a teacher and a parent, I bring patience, a gift for creating structure, and a love of learning to the educational process.

I hold a Master's degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley, where I spent three years working as a graduate student instructor in English composition and sophomore literature survey courses. Later, as a homeschooling mom, I developed structured curricula for my daughter from kindergarten through the seventh grade, combining creativity with a solid grounding in language arts, history, Judaic studies, math, science, art, music, physical education, and community service. I am also a former technical writer in the telecommunications field, where I developed clear, accurate, and practical instruction manuals over the course of a 15-year career. At present, I am a part-time graduate student at Union Institute & University, where I am working on an online Master's degree in History and Culture, with a focus on Disability Studies.

Whether I am working with children, teaching college students, or writing technical manuals, my purpose is always to be an ally in the learning process and to inspire people to have greater levels of confidence in their own abilities. I have always loved the process of learning, and I have a passion for inspiring that love in others. I worked as a lay rabbi for several years.
