I am very enthusiastic about the possibility to tutor the children, help educate them to further their career and become a positive influence for the future generations. I have been teaching for over 20 years in different fields, however, I prefer the K-8th grade level. I have been Teaching in an Outdoor Science School program for over 14 years and been directing the program as well.
As a teacher my intention is to create a non-judgmental, safe, respectful environment where students feel successful. I take a stand for multicultural and environmental justice through my teaching curriculum. I am an open minded, flexible, dedicated, passionate and organized individual that is deeply understanding and very patient. I have worked closely with other Teachers and Principals to plan detailed and growth oriented lessons that pull upon students' funds of knowledge to deeply engage students in learning. I learned a lot about powerful constructivist teaching from my co-workers, workshops and classes.
I have a multiple clear credential for K-8 through Chapman University in Monterey, CA
I Went to Long Beach State University and received my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies and a miner in Child Psychology.
