Hello!

My name is Yusuf. I graduated with honors from UC Berkeley in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Molecular & Cell Biology and a minor in Arabic. As an undergraduate, I amassed two years of extensive tutoring experience in the subject of organic chemistry. I am currently applying to medical school, and thus, have a bit of free time to do something I've always been passionate about: tutoring!

My tutoring approach incorporates flexibility, enthusiasm, and clear communication. My goal is to impart my students with the conviction that any challenge, no matter how daunting, can be overcome. To this end, I focus not only on teaching the material, but more importantly, teaching students how to teach themselves. This is accomplished by equipping students with powerful study strategies, instilling unwavering confidence and optimism, and inculcating a work ethic that will accompany them forever.

I am comfortable with teaching biology and chemistry (SAT II, Honors, or AP); in addition, I can also proofread essays (especially for college admissions).
