ADD/ADHD
During 2011, I worked extensively with one student with ADHD. Her performance in high school improved dramatically with weekly lessons. I helped her with several classes (biology, English literature, and geometry) and taught her study skills and organizational techniques.
Algebra 1
I currently provide weekly algebra lessons to a high school student.
Differential Equations
I received an A in Differential Equations at CalPoly. I also took class again as elective while completing graduate coursework at UC Davis
Electrical Engineering
At Calpoly, I completed 2 courses in electrical circuits and electronics. I also opted to enroll in 2 lab courses to demonstrate my proficiency in circuit design. My final project was a shoe-box sixed electric motor, which operated off two 9-volt batteries.
Geometry
I currently provide weekly geometry lessons to a high school student.
GRE
I have helped college students study for the GRE and personally taken the general & physics subject test GRE.
Macintosh
On a daily basis, I use 3 Mac computers - 2 are MacBook Pro (laptops) in my office at work. Since 2005, I have spent at least 4 hours a day using Macintosh computers. I know most of the key shortcuts and am very familiar with Macs.
Microsoft Excel
I use excel on a weekly basis to perform calculations with experimental & simulated physics data.
Microsoft PowerPoint
I use Microsoft PowerPoint on a weekly basis to prepare presentations for group meetings.
Microsoft Word
I use Microsoft Word on a weekly basis. I have prepared more than 40 technical reports and countless other papers using Word.
Physical Science
I currently provide bi-monthly lessons in physical science to a high school student. I read the material covered in the class textbook & write multiple choice tests of 50 - 60 questions to help my student practice :-)
Physics
I currently provide weekly physics lessons to a high school student.
Precalculus
I wanted to take AP calculus as a senior in high school, but I was a year behind in math. So, I enrolled in a precalculus math course at the local junior college during summer break before my senior year in high school. I received the highest grade in the class & used group study sessions to tutor my classmates.
Proofreading
I currently provide proofreading services for high school, college, and graduate level students. I have reviewed term papers, theses, and essays for admission to college & graduate education programs.
Writing
I provide proofreading and writing services. Recently, I was hired to review a Master's degree thesis in robotic & mechatronic control systems for a mechanical engineering degree candidate at Santa Clara University. I have experience writing and reading technical papers for publication
