Style:
My method is student focused. This individualized approach tailors motivation and instruction. I have found that students are and feel more empowered and responsible for their progress and achievements. The student's personal strengths, goals and aspirations shape the tutoring. Together, we design, evaluate, and reshape our work as needed to reach identified goals and the steps along the way. Students truly recognize and own their learning process. This evolving self-motivation makes learning more enjoyable and effective. It is gratifying for both of us.
Currently, I volunteer at Read Santa Clara as a literacy tutor for adults. It is a joy to positively affect a learner's achievements and learning process.
I draw on my depth of experience professionally and personally, continuing to mine, discover and create effective connections and methods that contribute to students' success.
