Hello! My name is Vinhh T, a graduate student from CSFU. I've tutored Mathematics since 2006 in all math subjects, such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Probability and Statistics.

I am a patient, knowledgeable tutor who respects students and encourages them to succeed. From my experience, I have found creative, effective ways to adapt to each level of students. When tutoring students, I give them directions and comments that lead them to solve homework problems on their own. I love getting to the point when the student finally understands the concept and they can afford to solve the problem on their own.

I look forward to helping you with your academic needs. I have an extremely flexible schedule even on weekends. Thank you for your consideration.

Algebra 1

Course Description: Algebra 1 is the foundation for high school mathematics courses. It is the bridge from the concrete to the abstract study of mathematics. Topics include simplifying expressions, evaluating and solving equations and inequalities, and graphing linear and quadratic functions and relations. Real world applications are presented within the course content and a function's approach is emphasized. With my experience and mathematics knowledge, students will be assisted in successfully...

Calculus

Course Description: This course includes differential and integral calculus with applications of previous math courses. The intent is preparation for college and/or one or more semesters of advanced placement calculus. Topics include: limits of a function, continuity, maxima and minima, area, volume, and other applications. Students will prepare to take the College Board Advanced Placement Exam

####
Geometry

Course Description: Geometric subject develops a structured mathematical system employing both deductive and inductive reasoning. It includes plane, spatial, coordinate, and transformational geometry. Algebraic methods are used to solve problems involving principles.

####
Precalculus

Course Description: This course extends and integrates concepts from algebra and geometry. It includes a study of polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions, inverse and second degree relations and their graphs. Other topics include complex numbers, polar coordinates, vectors, sequences and series. My lessons break down the material into the basic, in-depth, step-by-step examples and detailed solutions that reinforce student learning and provide useful tips so that...

Statistics

Statistics is a pretty tough and very interesting subject. The statistics goals are:

1. Interpret data collections and standard distributions.

2. Determine the probability of events and interpret the results of experiments and studies.

3. Problem solve, use mathematical reasoning and think critically.

As tutor, I will organize these goals in a way that makes them easiest to understand for my students and to get through it.
