My background and degree is in communications and journalism. I'm also an Executive Parenting Life Coach. I enjoy working with children and parents. Teaching comes naturally and I enjoy guiding clients to self-discovery of their own potential. I believe in hands-on learning and using the natural learning style of the person or child I teach.
I have tutored since I was in elementary school most often working with ESL students as a classroom English speaking mentor. I later expanded to my community teaching English to foreigners who had a kindergarten level English vocabulary (China, Japan, Russia, Mexico).
I home-schooled my son from 3rd grade through high school. I created almost all of my own curriculum because I found the packaged curriculum lacked the knowledge and pacing my son needed. I used a lot of Montessori techniques.
