I am a published author with two books in print; I have a Bachelor's in French and a Master's in Creative Writing. I have taught French at the high school level, have 3 years experience as an after school tutor, and have 15 years experience as a Paraprofessional with the SFUSD. I am available to tutor adults or children in English/Language Arts, History or French, for $50.00/hr. I am also able to provide assistance with completing term papers, or with studying for final exams. My schedule is fairly flexible outside of school hours. I am available in the late afternoon and evening, and on weekends.

Elementary (K-6th)

As a Special Education Paraprofessional for the San Francisco Unified School District, I have worked with students in all grade levels from first through twelfth grade, having several times assisted in summer school programs at elementary schools. In addition, in the summer of 2001, after obtaining a temporary Emergency Substitute Credential, I taught the Severely Impaired Special Education Class at Starr King Elementary School in San Francisco. Specific subjects I have either taught or tutored at the elementary level include reading, writing, language arts,spelling, phonics, arithmetic,science, history, social studies, and daily living skills.

I am a published author with two books in print; I have a Bachelor's in French and a Master's in Creative Writing. I am available to tutor adults or children in English/Language Arts, History or French, for $50.00/hr. I am able to provide assistance with studying for final exams. I am also available for a range of editorial projects, from simple copy editing for grammar, punctuation and spelling, to editing for consistency, style and fluency. I am able to provide assistance with completing term papers. Rates for editing projects begin at $75.00/hr, but will depend on the nature of the manuscript and the amount of work required. I will need to meet with prospective clients in advance, to evaluate the project and determine an appropriate hourly rate. My schedule is fairly flexible outside of school hours. I am available in the late afternoon and evening, and on weekends.

ESL/ESOL

I hold a Bachelor's degree in French and a Master's degree in English, with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I have considerable tutoring experience, and also have worked as a full-time teacher at the high school level. For the past fifteen years, I have worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional for the San Francisco Unified School District. I am also a published author, with two books currently in print.

Reading

I am an SFUSD paraprofessional with 15 years experience working with students at all grade levels. I have an M.A. in English, and am myself a published author with two books in print. I currently work primarily with Special Education students, and one of my duties is helping them to improve their reading. I was an after school tutor for several years with the AACE tutoring program at Roosevelt Middle School, and have tutored students privately on an individual basis.

Study Skills

I have fifteen years experience as a paraprofessional with the San Francisco Unified School District. During this time I have frequently assisted in Study Skills classes. In addition, I have tutored several students individually, incorporating study skills training into my work with them. I also worked for three years in an after school program where Study Skills was part of the curriculum.
