I was a conscientious student and enjoyed learning. I like helping students to improve their understanding of subject matter and their study habits. I believe that encouraging students to take an interest in subject matter--and discussing it with them enthusiastically--helps to improve their understanding and comprehension.

I graduated from university with high honors and distinction in my major. Before graduating from San Diego State University, I tutored high school and junior high school students in math and social studies. After helping one student, parents recommended me to other parents who wanted to obtain tutoring for their sons/daughters.

I am a former CPA, have been a professional accountant for approximately 30 years, and could provide valuable tutoring services for this subject especially.

I have lived abroad and traveled to many countries. I studied Cultural Geography and subsequently worked a paid note-taker for a Cultural Geography class. I take great interest in the subject and am able to tutor high school students.

After studying Spanish at high school and university, I developed the ability to speak well and have been complimented on my accent by many native speakers. I believe that I could be a valuable tutor for introductory level Spanish students.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Baseball

I am an avid baseball fan after having played the sport for many years. I learned the fundamentals of baseball by playing little league, PONY, COLT, high school, and in adult recreational leagues. I understand strategy and can explain and demonstrate many techniques after many years of experience and enthusiasm.

Business

I graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree (BS) in Business Administration. I graduated with high honors and distinction in my major.

I have worked as an accountant and business administrator for many organizations.
