Hello and thank you for considering me for a tutor. I have a wide range of teaching experience and interests having taught college level physics at the University of Florida for 3 years totaling 16 separate classes. I also have experience tutoring students one on one in college level subjects: math, physics, and computer science.
As a theoretical physicist at Berkeley lab my main expertise is in math, physics and computer science at high school level and above. I can be very flexible with hours and am willing to work both one on one and with groups. I have a teaching style that emphasizes an understanding of the material versus a rote memorization, which I feel improves the student's ability to retain information. I also offer advice and suggestions on test taking skills. I hope you consider me as a tutor and feel free to contact me with additional questions.
I work as a computational physicist. This involves writing code (in my case mainly C++) to solve complex equations, from matrix equations to differential equations, on many thousands of CPUs. I have written an extensive piece of code to deal with particular non-equilibrium problems, with all the C++ bells and whistles of classes, interfaces, inheritance, templates, error catching, etc.
