My specialty is in English language development. I am able to help students from Elementary school through college level coursework, in related fields. My major was in Developmental Psychology, where I received excellent grades: graduated with honors and a 3.7 GPA from San Francisco State University, and am attending graduate school in the fall of 2013 to pursue Developmental Psychology. I can help students with a wide variety of coursework from essays, vocabulary, grammar, to standardized testing. I have experience working with younger kids and those with learning disabilities. I can help with other areas, such as developing good study habits and organization, as oftentimes these areas are needed to make a solid foundation for success in educational coursework. I am willing to travel outside the San Francisco area, travel rates may apply. I pride myself on professionalism, and punctuality. Each student's success is vitally important to me.

Elementary Math

The key to understanding mathematics at an elementary school level is to make make the subject tangible and real. For the struggling student I try to find real world solutions to sometimes abstract concepts. It is important to put this type of math into different contexts, like games or tangible problems, so that my students can understand it. This is the building blocks for the later years so a fundamental understanding of math critical for success
