In a career with a wide variety of adventures, my passion for outstanding customer service is the common "guiding force" that ties them all together. It is this passion, coupled with a diverse professional background and strong desire to learn, that makes me so excited to give some of my knowledge and life experience back in the form of tutoring lessons! I currently hold an Associate's Degree in Specialized Technology. I graduated in 2011 (4th in my class), from a college located in Philadelphia, PA. It was during my time there that I refined my communication skills in every facet. I am now attending a College in San Diego in pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Communications-specifically Marketing and Advertisement. Additionally, I have always had the dream that I would one day teach- and so, I see tutoring as a great way to start toward that goal.
Since moving to San Diego after receiving my first degree, I have used my skills to preform work as a Professional Photographer and Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician. Aside from attending college, I currently work for a large mail-order pharmacy; preforming duties as a CPhT, as well as a SME (Subject Matter Expert). During each shift, I am introduced to new and exciting systems of extreme complexity, and am the first person contacted by my co-workers when they have any type of question concerning systems, processes, policies, troubleshooting, and even just general efficiency & technique advice. Prior to my new position, I spent 5 years as an employee of Rite Aid Pharmacy-where I worked as Lead Pharmacy Technician/Business-to-Business Marketing & Customer Service Representative. During my time at Rite Aid, I handled promotional duties of many capacities, as well as record-keeping and many similar duties of the logistical sort; keeping the Pharmacy in working order (in accordance with ever-changing industry standards). My time with Rite Aid has refined my skills concerning duties as a Pharmacy Technician, Marketing & Logistics coordinator, Customer Service Representative; and even new hire trainer. Additionally, I have been working in the professional photography industry on a regular basis for roughly 5 years, was nominated to be San Diego's "Photographer of the year-2013", and am qualified to provide assistance in any related areas; to include both pre and post production skills. These include, but are not limited to: Film Photography, Digital Photography, Composition, Lighting, Technique, Exposure, Camera Basics, Post-production (Adobe Processing Suite programs such as Photoshop, Bridge or Lightroom), and much more!
My tutoring methods are catered to each student's individual learning needs and goals. During sessions, special focus will be placed on the following criteria (specific to each student):
-preferred/demonstrated best method of learning
-lesson plans focusing on specific areas of concern/desired improvement
-accountability for all parties involved
In short: I am open to any and every opportunity, for which I am qualified, to guide and inform either yourself or your child. I will make every effort to make all tutoring sessions informative, interactive, worthwhile, and enjoyable learning experiences.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to speaking with you soon!
