The 2014-15 high school and college terms are in full swing across San Diego! Fall dates for the SAT and ACT tests are upon us, so it's time for that last brush up, or better yet, time to get an early start on the Winter and Spring test dates! This is the perfect time to prepare so you can put your best foot forward on your college applications. This is also the last chance to begin tutoring in difficult classes, and prepare for midterm testing. Whether reviewing for an honors chemistry or A.P. biology course, or looking for improvement in math or writing this term, I want to help you succeed!
I look forward to helping students become knowledgeable and excel at all levels of education. Along with a degree from Cornell University in Biology and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCSD, I have professional experience teaching, tutoring and mentoring in a variety of academic fields. Locally, I provided teaching and counseling at the University of California, San Diego, and the Preuss School, UCSD. I also have experience preparing high school and college students for standardized tests including the SAT, ACT and GRE programs.
I understand that your time is precious - I will work with you to tailor tutoring for your schedule. I am based in the UCSD/Golden Triangle area and have no travel fees within 10 miles. I also have a 24 hour cancellation policy, but can easily schedule make-up classes.
Learning can be difficult at times, but I believe anyone can learn anything, and do it well. I am here to provide a helping hand!
-Dr. Will
