I am a compassionate person that believes children are unique individuals that deserve an opportunity to learn and thrive to their highest potential. I have eight years of experience in General and Special Ed. K-8th grade. I have experience working with children in Special Day class, Mainstream, and Resource Room. Children mild, moderate, to severe.

I've worked with autistic children as well as Aspergers and ADHD. I'm trained in ABA, DTT, PECS, Prompting reinforcement; Reward system; Token board,Social skills training in class room as well as on playground, Reading Mastery Reading Naturally, Touch Dot Math, Organizational skills, Homework skills, and Bathroom training. I will teach reading comprehension and math.

I also teach general education K-6th reading, writing, grammar, math and 8th-12th grade reading, writing, and public speaking.

I have experience teaching English as a second language. I have worked primarily with Spanish speaking people, but love to work with all nationalities. I used to teach English at the former Language Centrum in San Diego.

I have 6 years of experience working with Aspergers children K-8. Subjects I taught were Math, English, Social Studies, and Science in group or one on one sessions with children in class. I trained in ABA, DTT, PECS, Token Board, social play, and PVT. I worked in Special Ed since 2008. I worked to mainstream children in general ed classroom and worked in mild/moderate special day class. I have 2 years of modifying curriculum for 4th and 5th grade special needs.

Study Skills

I have eight years of experience working in resource and mainstream class room assisting students in study skills and organizational skills. Setting up schedules, color coding, and teaching how to file, check off, and complete work.
