Are you taking a statistics course and need help with statistics or SPSS?? That's my specialty!
I was a statistics teacher at San Diego State University (SDSU), and taught there for two years. I currently work as a research consultant using statistics every day. I have taught hundreds of students how to do statistics in my classes, starting at the very basics of what the topic is about continuing all the way up to conducting multiple regression and multivariate statistics. I also have SPSS and several other statistics programs which we can use to run analyses.
My areas of knowledge include statistical methods such as - basic principles (i.e. descriptives, probability, variability, standard deviations), basic inferential tests (i.e. z-tests, t-tests, ANOVA/ANCOVA), correlations, multiple regression, multilevel modeling (HLM), multivariate statistics (e.g. EFA, CFA, SEM, etc.), latent growth curves, relative weights analysis, and more.
I have strong computer calculation skills using - SPSS, M+, HLM 6.0, and LISREL. Additionally, I can do hand calculation if that is what you need.
Research methods is another topic I am quite familiar with.
If you are in need of help on these topics then I am the guy to help you. I am patient, knowledgeable, and willing to meet wherever is most convenient for you (e.g. your local library, school, coffee shop, or residence). Tutoring sessions can be anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours long or more (you decide). I am available for weekly meetings as well. Please feel free to contact me. My rate is $45/hour (negotiable). Lets earn you an A in your math class together!

Sam really knows what he is doing and makes the most of your time. Sam is patient and repeats things until you understand and he makes sense of everything by breaking it down. Highly recommend to anyone.
Sam helped me go over an analysis for a research project in cognitive psychology. I had collected data and was looking to analyze it using SPSS, as well as discussing how to statistically assess certain questions that were part of my hypotheses. We went over the study design and Sam assisted with the process of answering my questions and explaining how the dataset needed to be laid out in order to answer them. Sam was very helpful and was able to answer all the questions I had with sufficient detail and expertise! He was also very patient in setting up a session (I had to reschedule a couple of times), although he did take a couple days to get back to me via email.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
