As a high school student I tutored math, history, and grammar. During college, I tutored Spanish and worked as a TA for the English Dean in an English Readiness Program. During Graduate School, I taught Spanish as a second language to corporate executives and international students. From 1998-2001 I worked in Spain as a TESL instructor. Upon my return to the USA in 2002, I worked as a Spanish teacher and translator, and I trained new linguists in translation, interpretation, and transcription from Spanish into English.

I am a US Citizen, native of Spain, and have been living in the USA since 1983. I consider San Diego, CA my hometown in the US. I had the great privilege to travel and live in different in the US; San Diego is the best!

Wonderful tutor for my high school student! — Virginia has been meeting with my son weekly. He enjoys their hour-long Spanish sessions and tells me that he learns and has fun. She has a flexible schedule, provides feedback after sessions, and my son independently schedules the session for the following week. He's asked me if he can continue through the school year!! Virginia is really great and highly recommended. ...
