I have been teaching for 8 years with all age groups for both individuals and small groups in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego County.

I assist students in improving their academic achievement by identifying learning issues and working on study skills.

My lessons are personalized for each of my students and adapted to their unique needs in order to maximize the student's learning.

Lessons may involve reviewing class materials, discussing classroom texts, predicting test questions, using authentic materials, formulating ideas for papers, and working on solutions to problems.

I graduated from Chapman University with a Master’s Degree in Special Education. While I specialized in Mild/Moderate Disabilities, I also studied Psychology at the University of Arizona. I also hold a California Credential to teach multiple subjects and I hold a certificate in teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

I currently work within the Oceanside Unified School District where I teach Life Skills to students with disabilities. I taught within the Glendale Unified and Irvine Unified School District where I taught multiple subjects to exceptional students with disabilities. I also developed teaching materials, prepared and administered quizzes, and graded written essays and exams. I also worked closely with colleagues to create teaching materials for a reading intervention class. I also assisted students with post-secondary planning which involves career and college awareness.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you.
