I served in the Navy 6 years as a Nuclear Mechanic, and am a recent graduate of National University (BS mathematics teaching credential), with experience in college and high school as a tutor.
They say the best way to learn is to teach, and I agree. Based on recommendations from various professors, I started tutoring other students of all levels. After a bit, I've learned that the knowledge I gain from tutoring is more along the lines of how to teach... how to re-image concepts into easier to understand ideas. Since then I've tutored groups and individuals on and off depending on class schedules.
I believe in a free-form tutoring, where we start at homework and go back. A simple concept, whether forgotten or never learned, could be the missing key that unlocks your potential. My job is to work with you so you eventually don't need me any more.
I'm willing to tutor from home, online, via phone, or at any place/time for your convenience. Hourly rates can be negotiated.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Differential Equations

As a student from National University, I received an 'A', and was top of my class. I didn't like playing with Laplace Transforms or the rest of it, but I was good at it. I helped a few fellow students in Diff Eq pass, but other than that I've had no other direct experience.

Discrete Math

Via National University, I received an 'A' in Discrete Math. Mostly an easy course, I enjoyed it. Logics and truth tables, along with the related programming was a pleasant break after a few harder courses. Playing with proofs isn't as fun, but it's par for course.

There is a few ways to go about this. The way I think about it is to use the commutative and associative properties and set it up to read (4x2)x(10²x10³)=? Using your Order of Operations (PEMDAS) from here on out,  along with the rule about adding exponents with a common base...
