Additionally, I have been trained for one-on-one interaction with students and have been in the field for over 20 years; teaching from Special Education/Elementary Subjects to all of the High School Academic Subjects, including many Test Preparation Subjects.

My goal is to put you on the road to independence and self-sufficiency in learning. I accomplish this by using the strengths that you have and build upon your weaknesses. I have many methods/techniques to help eliminate learning deficiencies and you are treated as a personalized individual.

ACT Math

I have been teaching Basic Math, Algebra and Geometry for twenty years. I understand the math needed to prepare for the Math ACT.

ADD/ADHD

I have a Masters Degree in Special Education and a Multiple subject credential in mild/moderate disabilities (k-12 from National University in San Diego California). I am presently working for the Sweetwater Union High School District, 11 years, as an adult school teacher (with high school students in class making up deficient high school Credits) I have 14 years of public school teaching special needs students that have ADD/ADHD. Since research has shown 80% of at risk Teenagers have been diagnosed with vision deficiencies, I also use the Irlen method (I am certified) to eliminate vision related symptoms of ADD/ADHD.

Algebra 1

I am presently teaching Algebra and I have been teaching it for more than twenty years.

ASVAB

I am a veteran of the Armed forces, US Navy. I was an Electronic Technician. Additionally, I am well versed in the math portions of the test. I have been teaching Algebra for many years.

Autism

I have a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Multiple subject credential in mild/moderate disabilities (k-12 from National University in San Diego California. I have been working for a high school for 11 years as an adult school teacher (with high school students in class making up deficient high school Credits). I have 14 years of public school teaching special needs students that have Autism. I have a Masters Degree in Special Education and a Multiple subject credential in mild/moderate disabilities (k-12 from National University in San Diego California. I have tutored pre calculus math many times in my over 20 years of teaching math. For my computer science emphasis in college, I had to complete many upper level math courses above the required calculus series in college.

Reading

I have been teaching reading for many years and I have many methods and innovations such as testing for sensitivity to light and visual learning deficiencies, in which I am certified in the Irlen Method.
