San Diego State University (Applied Mathematics )
I am pursuing a double Bachelors degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics with an Emphasis in Quantitative Analysis. I have 3.5 years experience as both a private and public school tutor under a Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Provider for the state of California.
I have tutored students of all ages, from 3rd graders to undergrads. I have different techniques for introducing students to new material. I have come to learn, at times students just need a different perspective of the material in order to firmly grasp it. Therefore, rather than simply just teach I'm thankful to have the opportunity to help students learn to and understand the material using their personal learning style!
Feel free to email me with your schedule and syllubus or class name for which I can help you conquer!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have completed the course Discrete Mathematics and have experience in proof writing in advanced mathematics courses such as Logic, methods of proof, set theory, number theory, equivalence and order relations, counting (combinations and permutations), solving recurrence relations.
I am an applied math major and have completed both intro to linear algebra and advanced graduate level linear algebra.
Intro to Linear:
Matrix algebra, Gaussian elimination, determinants, vector spaces, linear transformations, orthogonality, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors.
Advanced Linear Proof Methods:
Vector spaces, linear transformations, orthogonality, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, normal forms for complex matrices, positive definite matrices and congruence.
