Hello:

I'm an Electrical Engineer with 3 US patents. I am looking to tutor talented HS students, college undergrads and graduate school students.

My graduate emphasis is in signal and image processing. I have been using MATLAB for over 20 years now. I also use R.

Recently, I completed a certificate in data mining. We used a program called Weka.

I am willing to tutor in most math courses (including calculus, statistics, linear algebra, etc), basic software development classes, and EE/CS type classes.

Sincerely,

Tom M.

C

I have a BS in Computer Science and programmed in C on a daily basis in the past. I've written tens of thousands of lines of C code.

Tom

C++

I have a BS in Computer Science and have programmed in C++ on a daily basis in the past.

Computer Programming

I have a BS in Computer Science from the University of Dayton. I've programmed in C, C++, FORTRAN, Pascal, PL1, MATLAB, and assembly language. I program in MATLAB every day at work.

Computer Science

I have a BS in Computer Science from the University of Dayton (1986). I also have a Bachelor's of EE and a MSEE. I've been working in the profession for over 20 years now.

Electrical Engineering

I have an MSEE from the University of Dayton (1993). I also hold 3 US patents.

My emphasis in graduate school was signal and image processing. I also took classes in random processes, neural networks, pattern recognition, nonlinear image processing, data mining, etc.

I also have a BS in Computer Science with a math minor. I've taken a whole calculus sequence, differential equations, boundary value problems, linear algebra, and two semesters of statistics. I took enough math to have been awarded a minor in math.

Linear Algebra

I took linear algebra in college as part of my BS in Computer Science program.

I work in the aerospace industry and am quite familiar with coordinate systems and coordinate system transformations (dot products, cross products, unit vectors, etc). I also know about subspaces and principal components.

MATLAB

I've been using MATLAB for 20 years now. I first started using it in graduate school to help solve problems in digital signal processing. Currently, I use it every day at work to do data analysis in the aerospace industry. I also presented a paper on medical imaging using MATLAB at the first MATLAB user's conference in 1993.

Besides the "basic" MATLAB, I've used the signal and image processing toolboxes, the stats toolbox, the symbolic math toolbox, Simulink, the controls toolbox, and other "user contributed" toolboxes. For example, someone wrote a MATLAB library to interface to Google Earth, which I've used for work.

Python

I've been using Python for over a year now to assist other people with math and science projects. I also use Python packages such as Numpy/SciPy and Pandas.
