I believe students will only excel if they understand the material. I have a lot of patience with teaching and tutoring and many years of experience.

I started tutoring when I was in high school and tutored all subjects ranging from English to history to basic math. As a college student, I tutored high school students in all subjects as well.

While I was in my senior year of college I aided other college students with their writing by assisting them in finding research for their papers, helping them write the correct format for their papers and preparing them for exams.

I graduated with a BA in English literature and health and nutrition science minor. I am currently a part time teacher at a private school and I enjoy it very much.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Elementary (K-6th)

I can help with basic homework organization and study skills.

I currently teach 2nd graders and help them find various techniques how to memorize different concepts for tests through games and singing. Students I tutored in the past did very well due to my organizing techniques. Their agents thanked me after for helping them understanding how things should go in order hence making it easier for them to do better in school.

Hebrew

I grew up in a Hebrew speaking family. I spoke Hebrew growing up and I went to school for a while in Israel.

I took an exit exam in high school and received a 98.

Right now, I am a teacher in a private school for second grade Hebrew. I help students who are having difficulty with Hebrew and I read with them each morning for about 15 min.

Proofreading

I have a BA in Eng lit. I was in the spelling bee in my school multiple times. I self published a novel at age 14.
I am a freelance journalist for a newspaper in NYC. I also helped college students with English papers by aiding them with research as well as assisting them in preparation for exams.

Public Speaking

While tutoring, I also taught public speaking to students. I showed them the techniques of looking straight to the other side of the room when speaking, this way it won't see as if they are speaking to one person in particular, rather the whole audience. I took intro to acting in college and had to perform a monologue and dialogue in front of the class as well.
