Where did I receive my education?
I received my bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a major in Physiology and Neuroscience and a minor in Mathematics. I have completed a few courses at San Diego Mesa College, San Diego City College, and the Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) for personal growth. These extra classes include Spanish, Vietnamese, Website Design, and Automotive Mechanic (because I love cars!).
What are my future goals?
In Fall 2013, I began the nursing program at San Diego City College. I'm so excited! :D I plan to receive my associate's degree in nursing June 2015.
How did I start tutoring?
During high school, I volunteered as a tutor for an after school program. My first paid tutoring job was with Tutor.com as an online tutor. I tutored students from all across the United States through an online classroom. Along the way I started tutoring for other companies (e.g. Tutor Doctor, Grade Potential) as an in-home tutor. Now I offer my tutoring services directly to students like you!
What makes me different from other tutors?
I only tutor subjects I am completely knowledgeable in. I never waste my student's time by constantly referring to the book. In addition, all test preparation tutoring are for tests I have taken myself. I can tell you from experience what the tests were actually like.
Do you have unanswered questions for me? Let me know!
A lot of memorization is involved in anatomy. I can go over various muscle locations on the body, bone structures, histology slides, you name it!
I took a genetics course at UCSD about 3 years ago. We used the book called, "Genetics: a Conceptual Approach," by Benjamin A. Pierce.
I am a nursing student at San Diego City College. I took the TEAS-V exam as a requirement for the program and scored 88% as an individual score. Whether you are planning to take your first TEAS exam or you plan on retaking the exam, I can help you maximize your score! If you are going to retake the TEAS exam, I can help you increase your individual score up to 18%. :]
Very patient, (and a very good tutor) with reasonable mini-breaks and practical study tips for the TEAS V. — Jennifer was a great tutor. She always came prepared with study packets and review problems for me to go over as a form of during-session review, and also extra for homework and extra review. She also went above and beyond by printing out study tips (and an overall check list of the subjects, in its entirety, to check off as I went along) for the TEAS V exam. Overall a very patient, friendly, info ...
