Hello. My name is Mary. I possess the Ryan Multiple Subjects Credential, a Spanish BCC (Certificate of Competence), MA in Education and am just lacking the dissertation in order to complete the doctoral program in Education.

Bilingual (and the traditional self-maintained and team teaching classroom), E.S.L, preschool, youth services (coaching and organizing /supervising before and after
school programs), Spanish levels 1-6 (conversational Spanish grades K-6 using puppetry as well for the Viva Espanol Program), Writer's Workshop, Language Arts (all grade levels, as well as grammar), Social Sciences (all grade levels , K-12 as well), Music (theory, composition and instrumental... beginning keyboard, violin and viola, and my grown sons have been privately trained to play the cornet, saxophone, keyboard and drums). Also, I have played in all 3 school orchestras from K-12, as well as have had private lessons. I have studied administration and leadership (have the MA , in which I emphasized on the supplementing of educational disciplines via aligning online learning with district approved curriculum) .

I have administered CELDT English Assessment Exams (other Language Acquisition related exams as well), and have consistently been a team player in all areas of teaching inside and outside the classroom/faculty meetings/departmental meetings (via differentiated teaching. Indeed, I have been targeting students for improvement by looking at end-of-course exam test scores and manipulating/planning with test scored data (test scores) and suiting it to student academic learning needs (via learning styles, differently learning styles, Marzano and other success-related programs/strategies).
Furthermore,I adapt easily to the teaching style of the child and work from this to make learning a win-win situation. Additionally, I, like all educators, with this passion, I keep abreast on innovative teaching and learning strategies and have also invested much time and effort in taking the various CSET /Praxis exams in the following areas: Sciences, Spanish exams , administration , as well as Music exams.

I have taken Bible Studies classes for adults at my local church since 1992, have been involved with Bible Studies week as an instructor and have assisted with Bible Studies as a parent while my sons were taking classes since 1991 (they are in college now).

Because I lived and was raised in a bilingual environment, I feel I am able to reach students who speak another language. For this reason I am able to understand what they mean to say and am able to quickly and efficiently help them correctly rephrase it well in the target language, the English language.
I have worked on computers since the first Apple computers were sold. I took workshops and courses while learning on the Apple computer. In addition, I have taken courses online since the MA and doctoral program, so I know Microsoft Word, Notepad, html, SPSS and other programs because I have had to learn them along the way for my class assignments.
I have played the violin in elementary, junior high and high school school orchestras. In addition, I had a private teacher for at least 4 years , taught my neighbor how to formally play, as well as have been a middle /high school Music Teacher (basic keyboarding, theory, history, etc.)
Besides teaching music and theory, this is an crucial part of the content requirements when planning for music classes (and which target CA. state standards in regards to all of the objectives which needed to be met/taught in the area of Music History) as well.
